About the Webinar
The exponential rise in electric vehicles and the surging need for EV charging infrastructure has prompted the requirement of intelligent and interconnected charging stations. These smart chargers provide various advantages, such as remote monitoring, real-time data collection, and improved user interactions. However, like all interconnected devices, these charging stations encounter diverse cybersecurity risks that have the potential to jeopardise the safety and dependability of the charging network.
In this webinar, we’ll discuss some of the bottlenecks and challenges faced by the various players in the EV charging ecosystem and solutions being worked on by the industry, followed by an interactive panel discussion incorporating live questions from the audience:
Agenda (60 mins)
Opening and introduction by PTR
Introduction by the panel:
-
- Irdeto,
- CharIN,
- Eaton
Panel Discussion on the Following Topics:
-
- Growing need for interconnected/smart charging infrastructure
- Major cybersecurity risks in EV charger ecosystem – examples of EVSE cyber attacks and vulnerabilities
- R&D in the EVSE cybersecurity space
- Development of EVSE cybersecurity solutions considering the whole ecosystem
- Gaps in the space (e.g. lack of standardization) and recommendations for the way forward
